*The hungry valentines*

February 14th is a date known to most as Valentine's Day. Big Ben and me had always pooh-poohed the idea of celebrating it because:

#1: We don't like to follow the crowd and do what almost every other commercially-sucked-in couple would do on this date (i.e. celebrate and make a big hoo-haa out of it);
#2: Flowers are useless to me (but chocolates and other goodies are always welcome, thank you very much!);
#3: We are both cheapskates.

Anyhow, he called me after work on Thursday and asked whether I'd like to go straight home or linger outside for a while. I said I was fine with either (yes, really) so he suggested going out for dinner.

I wondered if he'd been sucked into the commercialism crap at that one instant. Heh.

Well, Big Ben said he wanted pasta, so off to Pizza Hut we went (the one near his workplace). Got a table some 10 minutes later after waiting slightly and a mini confusion, but heck, we were both hungry. So scanned the menus we did.

And then we waited. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. And waited. And waited even after Big Ben had signalled to the waiters/waitresses a few times.

A hungry Big Ben is an angry Big Ben, much like his wife. :p

We pretty much upped and left, and headed one floor up to a roti prata joint, where our total bill amounted to less than the price of a crayfish pasta in Pizza Hut.

So there you go. A post about two hungry people who just wanted something to eat on February 14th and ended up with some yummylicious prata (and murtabak). *grin*
