06.07.2002 Saturday evening @ 9:30 p.m.
*Good riddance*

I spent Saturday at home. Yippeee!

. . .

I have made my grand exit from there. For now. I mean, I don't know if I'm going to be sent there for practicum or yada yada yada. I just know I'm going to miss the kids. I love them. They're my kids.

Still on the subject of those moronic old hags, my colleagues are right. Not only do they bully us young teachers, they also do not appreciate us and our efforts. Okay, maybe we come from a different generation and thus, maybe we expect things faster and yada yada, but still? I still think it's common courtesy to really show sincere and heartfelt thanks to those who have really helped and guided along the way. Which was why even though the nicety in me wanted to thank each and everyone of the staff on Friday, I only said/wrote my piece to my p2 level teachers, my R.O, my TAF co-ordinator as well as those two colleagues who sit along the same length as me in that little and not-so-private corner. And since I came to school today to finish off some marking and pack a 'lil more stuff, I met up with my most wonderful, helpful and caring mentor teacher, Mrs Mary Chua, who really made my life less hellish for the past 11 months. I have to admit, if not for her, I might have gotten the boot. She has really guided me and hand-held me through my lesson plans, observations, weals and woes. Thank you Mrs Chua. I know you might never read this, but heck just the same. THANK YOU!

I know I have to thank Kak Norah also for she's on the management team and I think it's partly because of her that I was not axed after all. Although she teaches MT, I think her advice and her past experience in teaching Science and the general subjects alike were really valuable. Thank you Kak Norah, for being like a sister to me all this time.

I'm just disappointed that I didn't manage to catch my most beloved cikgu* (*Note: The title of "teacher" especially for those specialising in the teaching of Malay) after her remedial class. I know I had talked to her during recess but I felt that it wasn't enough. Personally, I feel that she's the one who's been the REAL mother to me. We're on the same wavelength and even though she gets bullied around by all sorts, she still has her chin up high and she is not afraid to show that she is not in the wrong even when some say she is. She's much better than some who nag and nag and nag big time. Bleah. So if you're reading this Cikgu Ramlah, thank you. Sayanggg cikgu! :)

. . .

I kinda like spending Saturdays at home. It's a time to catch up on sleep, slack and enjoy some peaceful moments all by yourself.

By the way, thank you Haz! *grin*
