Sounds like : Gone! - Friday I'm In Love

. . .

Why are virtual conversations so stagnant? It seems as if no one else can say anything save for "Hi? Hello? Intro?" And then they will go on to ask really stupid oh-so-duh things, ie, has one taken one's breakfast/lunch/dinner; is one going out; does one have any other plans; what does one like to do in one's spare time; and the most famous question ever..(drumrolls)..

..

..

..

...IS ONE ATTACHED?? Wargh!

Like so what if I'm attached or not. I'm online to just talk to my friends and waste away myself at the same time. I don't give two hoots about your personal life so the same should apply to you. At times I just play along and say truthfully that yes, I'm taken but sometimes I just itch for that tiny excitement and I either pretend I'm a macho-macho man, hunting for the right laydee or that I'm gay. *grin* It really scares the hell outta them, haha.

Another thing that bugs me is how dense most of them are. I mean, don't they know or at least realise that if one is undergoing training to be a teacher, one actually learns how to teach. It doesn't necessarily mean that one is teaching a class of 40 full-time. But in any case, if it is already specified that one is in teachers' college, does it not strike them that one is also a student? With the major diference that one gets paid of course, since one also doubles up as an employee of the ministry.

But then again I'm just ranting.

. . .

I went out with them yesterday. The four of us had dinner at Seoul Garden and yes, even though it was blardie expensive, it was worth it. We were really rakus and since it was a first time for Huda and me (not sure whether it was his first time too), we were slightly gong gong on how to go about in cooking the food. When pakcik told me to cook the meat, I just stared at him blindly first before taking the initiative to pick up the fork and push the pieces of beef and chicken...

...into the steaming hot bowl of tom yam right in the middle. He didn't see it of course because he went away to take some more food but I suppose Huda thought it was right to be doing that. I didn't realise that you were supposed to put the food on the hot black charcoal-looking cooker thing, until Azila displayed the proper manner of doing it. Tsk. But then she also put some food into the soup so I suppose it was okay that I started cooking the soup first?

*sheepish grin*

After we had eaten our fill, I was kroyok-ing for dessert so we had to turn one whole round and get some ice cream at Andersen's. *evil grin* Basically I was recovering and Huda was just starting, but hell, it was one heck of an ice cream sundae! A scoop of hazelnut, belgian chocolate chip and mocha fudge ice cream each, topped with caramel sauce and almonds and centered in a choclate-edged wafer bowl, what can I say...it was HEAVENLY! *grin grin grin*

Sometime in our tucking in at that al-fresco-like balcony-place where I oohed and ahhed over nothing but the roof of Suntec, Haslina came over and there we were, all 5 of us talking and laughing and yada yada. Basically Azila and Haslina were doing most of the talking, commenting about the Fiesta Femina which was staged last week, while the other 3 sat and pretended to be drama-watchers. *grin* But it was fun though. And after that, we took a long walk to Raffles City station whereby we passed by Suntec, the Esplanade, the Singapore River, One Fullerton, Fullerton Hotel, the Benjamin Sheares bridge and Boat Quay. Gosh...what wonderful sights. And there I was thinking how beautiful our motherland is at night. *sigh* What with Haslina walking like a wannabe-supermodel, balancing her thick book on her head, she really invited stares and glances. But it was supercool even though pakcik offered a really hilarious explanation for the state of her behaviour. *smile*

So in conclusion: it was a beautiful day+night and I'd like to thank them for making it happen. Thank you you guys...so when are we going to go out again aye? *wink*

. . .

I saw them on tv!
